There was a ceasefire in effect on Oct. 7.
HAMAS cannot be trusted, period.

The entire situation is hopeless. Israel is counting on the US to help them and Hamas and Palestinians are also counting on the US to moderate Israel's gory objectives.

No one pretends there is any tangible way forward anymore.

Tonight's stinker was TARGET EARTH - 1954
Pretty slow moving, even painful at times, dedicated mostly to pretentious character development.....
I somehow expected more from the robots, but they wound up getting little screen time, leaving me disappointed.,..

Had some xtra time, so I took in another stinker

Turbo Kid (2015), based in a post apocalyptic society, a teen assumes the role of his favorite comic book hero....
Kinda like in Roller Blade (1986), The world is run by people on BMX bikes, but instead of a litany of T&A, they resort to a ton of gorsploitation.....
Perhaps most interesting, the protagonist befriends a very strange girl, who is overwhelmingly cheerful & optimistic, it's creepy....
Fairly amusing little curio.....

Desantis has John Kerry 2004 vibes. So many people pulling for him but he can't do it and his team makes it worse.

Whenever I google search a movie, there appears a list of streaming services on the right side, with options to watch it instantly. Of course, not for free. There's YouTube, Amazon Prime and Google Play all offering the same movie for the same price. Then there is Apple TV, always offering the same movie for a much higher price.
I wonder why Apple TV is much more expensive? A dealbreaker for sure.

If I'm not wrong, I think their prices to rent popular movies like BARBIE are the same as other services. Their prices to rent some specialty fare (the stuff most of us like) is higher, but it's such a small part of the market they don't lose much on it. And some people will be used to renting from Apple and not even notice the price difference.

Google shows me the German Apple TV & Co streaming platforms. No idea how much their prices differ in Germany from the one's in America.

Apple TV Germany is currently offering Barbie for €4.99.
Google Play and YouTube want €5.99 for Barbie. So, in this case, Apple TV is actually cheaper. Color me surprised.

It might come down to licensing costs for each different country and what kind of deal the company has struck with the studio. Just my guess.

Three things I will never understand:

- the ongoing popularity of SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS
- How any sane person still supports Donald Trump
- Why my wife thinks it's a good idea to start a home improvement project the day before Thanksgiving!

Is anybody reading these thing?

Tonight's stinker was The Monster of Piedras Blancas (1959)
A lack of table scraps causes a monster to go to town....
Pretty exploitive for 1959, very riffable, definitely had me giggling a few times...

The beheading section was fairly brutal for an otherwise normal man-in-a-rubber-suit monster movie. It is one of my favorites.

I can't decide which of these Dark Souls 2 bosses I hate most: The Pursuer or The Smelter Demon!
