I want to be Ripley when I grow up.

I figure this belongs here.

From QI:

Coltan Scrivner’s Morbid Curiosity Scale weighs how much you agree with such statements as ‘I would be interested in attending or watching a video of an exorcism’ or ‘If a head transplant was possible, I would want to watch the procedure’. (The full list: https://bit.ly/3ENvnat)

I think I am low, as I only said yes to six of the scenarios.

Which goes to show that test is obviously broken, since my mind is full of morbid thoughts. Why, right now, for example, I am wondering what it'd be like to have sex with an angel.

If I’m doing the scoring right, I totaled 94 which averages out to 3.91, so I think I am almost somewhat agreeably morbidly curious.  That sounds like me.

I think some of the questions though could use some tweaking – is being curious about WHY a killers do what they do or the motive behind a murder as morbid as being curious about HOW?  Or does that cross the line from morbid to depraved?  Of course I’m interested in WHY, how else will I always be 3 steps ahead of a murderer?

Also, I don’t think there’s anything morbid about witchcraft.  That’s like plan C when your kid has a stubborn fever and you can’t get into the urgent care quick enough.
