I was saddened to hear the news that Jimmy Carter, ninety-eight, is receiving "hospice care" in his home after a number of recent hospital visits. He is a good man and I wish him well.

It is sad that he is seemingly in his last days: I remember my childhood in the former Rhodesia feeling bitter against him and his foreign policies regarding my birth country but now I only feel Bluesad

He's 98 years old.  The fact that he's on his last days shouldn't be surprising.  The man had a very good long run.
