Son of Godzilla (1967)

That's the one with with those f**king little brats running around.  Hatred

Don't forget most of those later 60s 70s Godzillas are crammed with annoying kids...

My favorites would be the first, DESTROY ALL MONSTERS (1968), and, for some odd reason, GODZILL VS. THE SMOG MONSTER (1971).

Well, I like SON OF GODZILLA, real candy-coated popcorn kid stuff.  They are all silly.  Is SMOG MONSTER the one with an annoying kid who is playing with the coolest Godzilla toy at the beginning...?

I have seen lots of parts of Godzilla movies.  Probabaly parts of most of them, but I haven't watched many of the older movies fully.  It's just not a thing I ever got into.

I've seen at least one version of this movie where the kid has this dream in really third rate animation while he's reciting a poem.

Personally, I've always found Godzilla vs Megalon the most amusing...

Oddly enough Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. (2003) was just announced for Fathom Events.

Pretty  much all of them.  The only two I haven't seen are the last two netflix animated ones.

Sadly only the one: the 1998 one 😳😳

You should be able to view a copy of GOJIRA (1954) which is the only great movie in the franchise.  As a film historian: GOJIRA is a must-see.

Do not confuse the original GOJIRA with the American chopped salad Raymond Burr GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS (1956) which is easily half inserted footage and brought all subsequent films down to its level.

archive.org has a pretty decent copy of the 1954 one: I will watch it on the weekend  Smile

I don't know. I saw the one with Matthew Broderick, another one in a theater around that time that looked new and I think was dubbed, plus a few on TV like where he fought King Kong, and one where some man leaned off a balcony with dental floss to hold him up. 5-6, maybe? Plus I've seen the '70s Saturday morning TV series on VHS, where it has Godzuki---sort of the show's Scrappy Doo/Cousin Oliver/War Doctor----and where Godzilla was nice.

Oh, jeez. Minimum, 20-ish or so.

Local station here in Philly used to do movie marathons on weekends back in the day. One weekend was martial arts films, next would be Universal Monster films, then sci-fi/kaiju type films the next. Godzilla films were featured on the sci-fi ones.

Godzilla, King of the Monsters (1954/56)
Gigantis, the Fire Monster (1955/59)
King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962)
Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964)
Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster
Godzilla vs. Monster Zero (aka Invasion of the Astro-Monster)
Ebirah, Horror of the Deep
Son of Godzilla
Destroy All Monsters
Godzilla's Revenge
Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster
(technically, think I fell asleep during part of it somehow...)
Godzilla vs. Gigan
Godzilla vs. Megalon
Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla
Terror of Mechagodzilla
(I know I fell asleep during this one)

Return of Godzilla / Godzilla 1985 (1984)
Godzilla vs. Biollante
Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah
Godzilla vs. Mothra
(1992)
Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (pretty sure I fell asleep during this...)
Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla (underrated)

Godzilla 1998 ...

Godzilla 2000
Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack
Godzilla: Final Wars
(I think I either fell asleep during this or possibly fell in a vat of acid)[/i]

Godzilla (2014)
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
^the recent American ones are all good fun btw. They play like G-Fan fanfic.

That's 28, then...

Godzilla, King of the Monsters (1954/56)
...

No, no, no.  GOJIRA (1954) is NOT interchangeable with GODZILLA, KING OF THE MONSTERS (1956).

That's a terrific list, but have you seen GOJIRA?
