I read The Road and thought it was....well, honestly, better suited to be a long short story or a novella. Though I haven't read NCFOM, it was one heck of a fine movie. I heard him on Fresh Air years ago and was impressed by some of the things he said, seemingly off the top of his head, speaking aloud in the polished way many can only write.

The rate everybody's dying anymore, there's going to be no one left worth talking to on this planet. Honestly, even you fleshly meat bags gotta die someday and who will I spend the next million years talking to?
