The Flush (2023):

What a mess! This may have been DCU's attempt at flushing their continuity like the waste that its been since JL (any version) or even BvS.

Spoiler warning, if you care...

Let's take 1 part nostalgia (Bats 89), one part lame villain from Man of Steel we'd all like to forget, and one part pathetic portrayal of Supergirl, and pair that with a double dose of Ezra f**king Miller and, top that all off with forced predetermination and NO FLASH VILLAIN to speak of, and you get the Flush! I hope you really f**king love Ezra Miller.

DC has twice now s**t on their own characters, showing us that no matter how many attempts or no matter what badasses you have on your team, nothing amounts to anything unless you have the Douche-ex-machina himself, Superman. See, without him, the JL was useless. Great. Without him in this story, the world ends; by this movie's logic, Superman is the only thing that can stop Zod (with mur-diddly-urder); Supergirl just dies repeatedly trying. Batman is old and is also determined to die in "this" reality no matter what. And I like the Superman character -just not the DCU film version since MoS (but at least he's not a stalker like in 'Returns haha).

Then there's Iris. She shows up pretty much just to say, "Hi, I'm Iris, I think. But I don't have s**t to do, but since the comics say we get together, shoehorn me the f**k in! Ok thanks, bye"

I guess everyone else is p**sed about the weak effects and/or the necro-collage sequence at the end, but I just feel disappointed (thoroughly) in the plot. They had years to tell a good story and decades worth of source material to draw from, and this is all they could do? Honestly, the Flash TV series did a much better job over the long run with waaaay lower budget (even if it did start getting silly after a few seasons).

I laughed one time during this movie, though. Flash, as expected, looses his powers for a scene, and I cracked up when he tried to run w/o his powers for the first time because it reminded me of how Steven Segal runs.

You're better off just watching the animated Superman/Batman Apocalypses for Supergirl and/or Flashpoint Paradox for actual good DC stories. Or better yet, read the comics they're based on.

If you decide to go, I'd skip the after credits sequence. They're as dumb and annoying as the film was.

I'm not a big fan of the Flash character at all, so I'm not terribly interested in it.

EXCEPT to see Keaton back as Batman.

Problem is having to sit through Ezra Miller.  Bluesad

My thoughts exactly.

I think I'll wait until it hits DVD.
