Have you ever been in Love?

We just celebrated our 29th anniversary in Aruba. It will be hard to top that next year for #30, but we're talking about a trip to Italy.

Never been in love. Never dated someone where I've felt that feeling, that yearning to spend the rest of my life with them.

But that's just me. I like to come and go as I wish. If I wanna travel, I do. If I wanna stay out til 6am, I do.

^ Falling in love does not restrict you from doing what you want. Marriage does. You can fall in love without getting married. My neighbor Nola when I lived in Marcelluss, MI was married. Back in 1986.  I never dated her. But she was my best friend, and I loved her.
But if you love someone hard enough- you don't want to run around. Life gets lonesome.
I'd rather be in love than running around in circles at 6 in the morning. And trust me- I have.

This is true. I've dated a lot. But even then, it was like I was lonelier being with someone. We just never clicked in that way. Not their fault, mine I'd guess. Now I just don't date. Not particularly lonely. I dunno.

It's alright, man. I was like that many times in my life.
I didn't get that way because I was shy. I was angry and isolated. I became agoraphobic, in fact. I didn't want to leave my house. I thought I was losing my mind. Moving to NYC helped me break out- because I had to. I HATED being isolated.

I was very shy, in my shell. I've come out of it a bit lately, but the few relationships I did have were very bad at the end. So I just date, casually.

There's a big social scene here and lots of after hours places and 24-hour diners and delis so it's easier to not get too settled in. Even if I go out alone, I end up at a diner with someone and we go home together and keep it at casual.

^I was a little different. I went to bars. Not to meet girls. Just to get f**ked up drunk and high. I met Tara because she was my neighbor. I met Tiana because she was my neighbor. My first wife was an ugly b***h  who I met in a bar and f**ked and got pregnant. I hate her. She is a murderer. Not really wives- any. I have never- and will never- get married. I don't need a piece of paper or a ceramony to be in love.
