What are your plans for Christmas?

24th: I'll be spending Christmas Eve at my oldest sister and her family. She is planning to cook a vegetarian holiday menu, and I'm really looking forward to that. I requested holiday themed cocktails for when we make fun of Netflix x-mas movies after dinner, just like every year.

25th: Celebrating Christmas at my Nephew's place. We'll be cooking Rahmlende, which is thinly sliced pork loin in a creamy sauce.

26th: is also a holiday in Germany. My oldest sister will be serving duck with potato balls and red cabbage, and I'll be there.

So yeah, three days of food.

My older brother got one of those when the rereleased them initially a few years back. His kids will spent hours figuring out how to get to to drive through the house and bring him a beer.

We don’t have family coming over until a few weeks later, but now that I have more kids than a sieve has holes, we still have to make the time special.  I wasn’t sure we’d pull it off, but we managed to finish making our annual gingerbread house this year.  That makes at least 16 years in a row of making a gingerbread house from scratch for Christmas.   The kids and I made cookies for the last couple of nights and we’ll be watching the golden classic “Ernest Saves Christmas” tonight.  Tomorrow I shall treat my children’s ears to my Twisted Sister Christmas album whilst they discover what treasures have been bestowed upon them by the Great Elf of the North.

Helping my wife cook and clean all morning, having our girls, their spouses, and one set of in-laws over, and then eating myself into a food coma all afternoon!

Well Ash was awake at midnight so we all opened up our gifts. Poor lad can only speak in a whisper with the sore throat he has, but he was excited about his trains and Scooby Doo toys. We finally got him settled about 4. I've sent Kristi to bed as someone will have to be functioning when Ash gets up and I am going to be at work. Not worth me going to bed now since I'll be starting at 6. Yay for a 13 hour shift ahead with no sleep.

Hope everyone has a fun day and a wonderful time.  Thumbup

I went to my mom's.  We called the rest of the family, had diner, opened presents, watched a few movies.  Nice and simple.
