It seems that this happens in every horror movie I've ever seen.  If the main character gets into an argument with some a***ole, the a***ole always gets it before long.
Any movies where this doesn't happen?  Or any movies where the a***ole actually ends up being the hero?

In Terror Firmer the a***ole is Jerry, and he ends up being the hero.

In "Scanners",the hero meets a horribly gory death, and the villain lives(but gets possessed by the hero's spirit, who takes over his body).
Guess David Cronenberg was tired of the overly ridden cliche of the villain always dying a real gory death, and decided to let the hero gorily bite it...
Awwww: the love of early 80s genre cinema(so energetic,so exciting,so really damn gory.....).

In the brilliantly directed film "Cutting Class," a taut Brad Pitt plays the jerk-and-a-half.  Not only does he laugh at the prospect of nearly driving over a three-wheeling tot, but he shows true grit by turning face and saving the day.

Suicide in Return of the Living Dead is always p**sed angrily but then trys to save Tina from the Tarman zombie but is attacked. Not exactly the right ending but he tried to be a hero I guess for once.

In the original cut of Final Destination the jerk lives and the hero dies.  Of course, they re-cut it so now it's vice-versa.  Plus, in that movie, Army of Darkness, that jerky guy with the chainsaw lives.  Hey, what gives?
