Red Dwarf is awesome. I discovered it only a few years ago on BBC Americer (as the announcer put it). Finally Brittain made a comedy that wasn't dry and restrained, yet not unbelievably vile and disturbing. Rimmer was in Tomb Raider and Cat was in Blade 2. I've read some of the script on fansites and it's pretty damn cool.

A movie of Red Dwarf would be really cool. I can't wait for it to be released.

Sounds good to me! I keep expecting someone on "Junkyard wars", as Scrapheap Challange is known here over the pond, to ask "Kryton" when the movie is going to come out. Richard is a funny guy, and i like him better then the yank in the U.S version. He's okey, but Richard is, well, off the wall. I like that in a person. Oh, and i think Cathy is cool to, in a small brerasted kind of way. " Its cold outside-theres no kind of atmosphere, i'm all alone-more or less....."

Cat (Danny John Jules) was also in 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels'. He was the one whose rhyming slang needed subtitles.

Kryten (Robert Llwelyn) presents 'Scrapheap Challenge' over here, you call it 'Junkyard Wars' in the US.

If you're interested in finding great British comedy thats probably almost unheard of in the US, try 'Rab C. Nesbitt'. There's a fairly good description (by an American no less) at http://www.argyll.demon.co.uk/Rab.html (can't write html, gonna have to cut and paste!)

I'll have to see "Blade II" then.  I hope they pick up the series again after they finish the movie, or else stop ending the seasons on cliff hangers.
