I'll be amazed if none of the bad movie sites have reviwed Blacula. It's a great movie, William Marshall plays Blacula with menace and some real dignity, and the fashions are great. The opening animation is fun too! The sequel is a good bit worse, though.

One of my personal favorites. How did he ever get by without a jive-talkin' rendition of Dracula?

William marshall's class and elegance is what made "Blacula" such a crossover blaxploitation classic, something that its sequel failed to do.
I'm heavily surprised that nobody in Tinseltown has gotten the "idea" to remake this movie,too....but,then gain,Mr. Marshall would probably track them down, and give them a ferocious beating if they dared to consider pulling a modern day "redux" upon this modern horror classic.

Eddie Murphy would definitely be the top pick for Blacula (since the only films he makes now are remakes and sequels to remakes), and it would be "urbanized". The club the characters frequent would be a hip-hop place and there would be lots of cheesy CGI. Wait a minute! Blacula has already been remade and it was called Vampire In Brooklyn!

Blacula would outclass Eddie, beat the living tar out of him, and leave him in a puddle of his own juices, all without spotting his shirt.

I liked the idea of Blacula being  outraged at the modern world and race relations.

What they should do is get William Marshall to come back for another one. Of course, no one in Hollywood is that cool...
