Today is one of our very rare snow days (a full inch for you who care, or wish for a laugh). But since daycare is closed, I'm home with the girl (1 year old on the 10th!!!). The TV is actually helping. For once, AMC is delivering the goods. So far I have watched:
The She Creature (1956)- this was a new one to me, but I liked the monster.
The Brain Eaters (1928)- A classic sort of AIP invasuion picture. Apparently it had Leonard Nemoy in a small role, but I didn't see him.
Magic ( 1978) Anthony Hopkins an an evil ventrilquist dummy. Meh, not good not bad. I don;t like Talking Wooden Dummy movies, one of the reasons I don't like Keanu Reeves.
And now the keystone: The Day the Earth Stood Still. Klatuu Barada Nikto! One of my favorites.
Overall a good set of snow day films, I'm happy.

Since you mention Reeves and
The Day the Earth Stood Still in the same post, you might be frightened to hear that he'll be playing Klaatu in the remake.
