Well, I really do not enjoy ranking masterpieces of Cinema.  I think that each great work of cinematic art has its own attributes that allow it to stand in the pantheon of great film.  I can not post the Top 10, simply because I have not taken the time to think about it, but I suppose if I had to make a list of the Top 5, Number 1 being the Greatest, they would be:

1. The Piano (1993)
2.  Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
3.  Andrei Rublev (1966)
4.  A Clockwork Orange (1971)
5. The Deer Hunter (1978)

Maybe one day, I will elaborate by listing the other five.  Until then, I will be watching and waiting.

>1. The Piano (1993)

Personally, I think this is the most overblown, overhyped piece of crap I've ever seen. Like 5 hours centered around the stupid piano and then they just dump it overboard in the end. ARGH! Make the pain stop!!!

I will reply to this question only long enough to say that I will not reply to this question.
