For a straight to DVD comedy this is pretty good. It's certainly about 11 million times better than Madonna's "Swept Away" but then again that's zero times 11 million. No, there are no shower scenes or nearly nude scenes at all. This was extremely disappointing of course. It was occasionally actually funny and generally pleasant and enjoyable. Simpson is more of a good sport than an actress and most of the time, really all of the time, I mainly was sort of pondering the meaning of her. She was most succesful, artistically if you will, as a reality tv show star. She is really extremely pretty but not really in an actress sort of way. The best I could come up with was maybe they should try her as a villain.
Her Star trek esque rainbow of race friends (probably not unrealistic in the army I have no idea) were good, most especially the nerdy girl with the brother in afghanistan and the black girl. The lady from SNL who did that dumb unfunny cheerleading routine with Will Ferrel is in and and is pretty good. Andy Milanokis even has a brief cameo! This is destined to be the type of movie that people who know about it it like it but not that many people know about it. I mean, that trailer has about 100,000 views where the Human Centipede trailer that came out like 3 days ago has like a million.
