Everyone mark your calenders!!  Every Thursday night from now until they shoot us, Radio 1190 AM presents "Playing With Your Radio", a radio drama show, at 6:30pm Mountain Time (USA).
We've done 3 scripts so far, & the quality of the writing has been exceptional.  Everyone in the area seems to want to contribute a script, & radio drama is hot again!  All shows are simulcast on the internet at www.radio1190.org
so tune in, if you have speakers -- Or, if you actually live near Boulder, just tune your dial.
This Thursday's show is called "Conduit", by Ben Popkin.  It's a story of theft & betrayal among the future society of human computers.   It has surreal elements & time-jumping qualities very reminiscient of The Firesign Theatre (www.firesigntheatre.com).  I'm doing 5 voices:  Isabella (The head of a computer information theft cartel), Defense (A not-very-capable protection program), Dog(a dog), Hotdog Vendor (A lecherous undercover thief), & Gruff Man (Self-explanatory).
This is 100% guaranteed LIVE theatre, folks, so every single glitch, flubbed line, missed cue, or inappropriate sound-effect is happening right then and there.  Absolutely NO pre-recording!  We have 2 - sometimes 3 - clumsy Foley guys, so every single error is brought up in SHARP relief!!
Please listen &, I do hope, enjoy.
Yours in Radio Prison

....Sounds cool, Peter. Wish i could tune in. Have you thought about selling tapes, for those who can't tune in?

Well, I'll certainly bring the idea of selling tapes/CDs up with the producers.  I'm just a hired gun on this project, and have no real rights to sell anything.
Just a suggestion, but speakers for computers are now lots cheaper than when I bought the ones I have.  You could probably pick up a set of used speakers for less than the cost of a tape or CD.
People in Germany & Maryland listened on the internet to the last broadcast & say it came through perfectly clear with no glitches.
See you on the Air!

My problem is that I'm usually at my Aikido class then (plus I only have dial-up access at home).  I suppose I could rig up a recording of it at work (if that is ok, and only for my personal use).
An idea: (dunno how practical)
Once you have a bunch of shows, allow folks to download a few for free, then have a subscription for the rest.

Shoot, I'll be sure to show this to my producer!  I don't see why he wouldn't want these more available to folks --

Oh, and keep the flubs etc., in.  IMO, they help keep it real; I don't like things that are too slick, especially if they are supposed to be live.

Oh, I quite agree -- I wouldn't have it any other way.  Eg:  In the second show, there's a line where the actor playing my wife says "It's all Marcel's fault", as part of a longer speech.  She was talking so distraughtly that the line came out:  "It's all Marcel's fart . . ".  I, being Marcel, was sure to end my next line with a raspberry.

How about downloadable audio files for those of us who have no clue where to find this or how to listen to it.

No, no no -- you just go to www.radio1190.org     and click on the streaming show.  It ain't difficult to find.  You just have to figure out your own time-zone differences is all.  If you have speakers on your computer, you can hear it --
