I took the advice and paid the 2 bucks to rent "Cellar Dweller".
Every response I got on the earlier thread stated that it was worth the money and was good.
UUUGGGHHHH!!!!
    This movie was HORRIBLE!
Cheesy sound and video effects populate much of it.
The acting was even worse!
I admit that it does have an interesting premise.
A comic book artist who brings a demon to life whenever she draws it.
The demon itself looks very similar to the big monster at the end of "Troll".
If there ever was a film that deserves to be reviewed on this site, this is it.
This is definitely a BAD MOVIE!!!!!!
When I returned it to the video store, I told the owner exactly what I thought of it.
He said, "What!?  This is an 80's classic!"
An 80's classic it may be but I stand by my opinion on this one.
It f***ing sucked!!!
I'm glad I got to see it for such a low price.
I would've kicked myself in the ass had I paid more.
I give it 2 out of 5 slime drops.
If you've seen it, what do you think?

LOL.

I was one of those guys who gave it positive reviews on the original thread and I stand by that.  I really enjoyed it.  I agree, it's a BAD MOVIE, but definitely in a good way.  I won't hesitate to see it again.

I guess we all can't like the same thing!

Sounds like your expectations were raised beyond what the film could deliver.  I know I'm always disappointed watching a film that my friends have recommended highly to me.  It's never as good as it would be, and this is for films that are generally good.  I don't what I'd do if I had high expectations and watched a mediocre flick like CELLAR DWELLER.

I also recommended the movie earlier.  Well, sort of.  Here's my previous post.  I stand by my statements.  I do think it's fairly representative of the direct to video fare of the eighties.  I enjoyed it more than staring at a blank tv for an hour and a half.  That's about all I ask from these kinds of films.

Unfortunately, you hated it.  Sometimes that's the price you pay for listening to people talk about movies.

*****  ASH, maybe it's just your good nature, but you sure do grade leniently.

What is the SKULL for if not a movie that drives you to asterisked-out profanity and would make you kick your own butt if you'd paid more than $2 to see it??    Two slimes??  I never saw it, but the two slimes you give it do not jibe with everything else you wrote.

How's Ice Pirates coming?

I gave it 2 slimes because of the interesting premise.
That's all it had going for it.

Screw it!
I've changed my mind.
I give it 1 slime drop.
My Ice Pirates review is pretty much done.
I am currently editing it.
I'm obsessive when it comes to the editing process and tend to go over my writings many times.
I even edit each and every post I make to this Phorum several times as well.  (that might give you some idea of how seriously I take it)

I'm now looking for pictures and video to go along with my review to lessen the amount of time Andrew (assuming he puts it up) has to put into it once it's submitted.

If any of you find any good pics or video of it then by all means please e-mail them to me at ashthecat3@yahoo.com

Thanks!
