No, the man hasn't O.D. again and he is not trying to convince us that he's seen the virgin Mary (that really happenned before, I'm serious). Actually, it's worse than that, he plans to make two movies in Spain. The first one is called "The tower" and implies Van Damme to be between life and death and being challenged in the titular tower by different contenders, who will put both his physichal and spiritual qualities to challenge. The man plans to write, direct and star the... ehrmm... film I guess. Hope no more third-class actors and directors visit this country, we have enough mediocrity ourselves, thank you.

Funny fact: The plot reminds me of a film Bruce Lee was working on before his death, according to a TV documentary I saw.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

I don't mind Van Damme flicks that much. Sure, they're not art. Most follow the same plot, usually involving a tournament in which Van Damme fights lots of different guys, ending with the really tough guy who killed/crippled his friend/brother. But they can be fun if I'm in the right mood.

This one sounds like it's in the same vein.

Ha, ha! If Van Damme is really copying on Stephen King, we could be on the edge of the worst King movie ever. And that's saying something. What actually angered me about the film was that the man himself was speaking of the flick as the greatest philosophical event in western culture since Hegel or Kant.

Yeah,Neville, and the second film is to be "After Death",a "Sixth "Sense"-with-martial-arts-esque film set in Hong Kong, and directed(once agin wasting the talents of)by Ringo Lam(what a complete waste of a great Hong Kong-based career).
