With Christmas just a week away, I've been thinking about what I might rent for the holidays. I'm sure many of us stock up on movies and snacks for the couple of days we'll be in the house over Christmas and Boxing Day.

I might have too many obligations to do it this year, but I usually rent five or six movies on a theme that is most un-Christmaslike. Hey, I've already watched my Christmas favourites by this point.

One year, this included Death Race 2000, Maximum Overdrive and Damnation Alley. Another year, it was zombie flicks, including Dead Alive.

Any ideas for a fun holiday movie marathon?

It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

How about a werewolf-a-thon:

THE HOWLING
AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON
GINGER SNAPS
THE COMPANY OF WOLVES
THE SILVER BULLET

or if you like classic horror movies

THE WOLF MAN (1940)
CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF
WEREWOLF OF LONDON
ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN
HOUSE OF DRACULA
THE WEREWOLF (1957)

There are so many to choose from!

I would have definitely picked Dead Alive as a perfect anti-Christmas movie. Some other good ones would be the classic gore movies like Blood Feast or 2000 Maniacs. Or if you wanted, you could go with some 80's kung fu flicks, with basically anything from the Wu Tang collection. Shaq movies are always guaranteed anti-Christmas or anti-anything movies. Just think, you could spend your time alone watching Kazaam! or Steel. Or even worse; a Hulk Hogan marathon! Mr. Nanny, Suburban Commando, The Ultimate Weapon! It's all quality movie time! Have fun whatever you pick.
