Sound people here are probably into emulation (I am), but this forum is mostly for movies and some TV.

Emulation is a hobby of sorts, basically getting programs that let you play old console/arcade/computer games. Like playing NES games on your computer or playing Commador64 games. I used to play nes roms a while back. Don't really bother with them anymore :p

I can't believe you hadn't heart of it before, Ashthecat. I am hopelessly adicted to emulation myself, and most of the games I play on my PC are emulated. It seems stupid, I know, considering how good games are these days (try "Mafia" or "Ghost Recon" if you haven't), but when you have once played "Turrican" on an emulated Amiga or kicked some ass with any recent "Street Fighter" arcade game, everything else seems overrated.

Here you can find lots of information about it: www.geoshock.com

I took it in the wrong context.

Had he said "Emulators" instead of "Emulation",  I would've recognized it instantly.

After all, an Emulator and Emulation have 2 very different meanings if you take them literally straight from the dictionary!

I have an 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System emulator on my p.c. right now!

I just beat "Contra" the other day!

Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B, A, Start for 30 lives!

LOL!!!!!!!

Try Gens (Genesis emulator) or Nebula (Capcom arcade games + NeoGeo). They kick ass.

All I can say is, thank Buddha for MAME. I love the old arcade games, and I buy 'em whenever available--but my Williams Collection is one of the few PlayStation games that won't run on the PS2...so MAME allows me to play "Joust," "Bubbles," "Defender," "Robotron," and "Sinistar."
