What is your "dream job"?

I see so many people these days with a college degree in "rocket science" and they end up working as a secretary or for some bum higher up on the "ladder" than they are.

Does "Dilbert" ring a bell?

UNACCEPTABLE!

My dream is to bring back the Drive-in to my local community.  (all drive-ins are dead here and I think they would BOOM...especially since most young kids and even adults these days have never had that experience or haven't had it for years, myself included)....

I honestly think they'd explode with popularity here.  (Hence...lots of $$$$ if done correctly)

My dream is to own my own drive-in theater with multiple screens and a fantastic concession stand offering the best grub in town!.

Wouldn't it be glorious!!??

Oh,  hell yes!!!  (you know it would!!)

Go here to learn more about it....http://www.driveinworkshop.com/index.htm

I'm gonna make it happen someday here in my community maybe (Cedar Rapids, Iowa).

Money is the only thing holding me back as it can cost upwards of $300,000 to get started.

My question for you is this:  What do you want out of life and what is your dream job if you aren't in it already??

Please tell us all....We want to know.

Quite an interesting jump from "down with The Man" to "I want to open a drive-in"

Dude, switch to decaf.  As interesting and entertaining as your posts can be, they seem to be getting increasingly manic over time.  And I don't think anyone was actually insulting you.

I'm another one that can't see myself working for someone else for my whole life. My current life plan is to eventually be running my own little modestly successful independent record label while striving to make the world a better place for all.  I'm taking a course at college to learn about the first part, but the second's still a mystery.

My dream job is becoming a cop.   I've obtained my bachelor's degree recently, and passed a reading and writing test.  Now, I just need to pass a physical fitness test next month and hope someone hires me and pays for my acadamy training.

Will I be working for someone?  Sure.  That doesn't bother me though.  I have no aspirations for running a business, corporation, ect.  I would like to work somewhere that has lateral or vertical movement available on the career ladder.  I would like to try different things.   I see nothing wrong with working for someone else.  Someone has to do it.   Unless everyone plans on opening their own business and being the only employee.

I see myself as a struggling professional wrestler on the independent circuit, doing occasional shows for XPW, CZW, RoH, and TNA (if it's still around). I might also open my own fed some day and live comfortably in a middle-class house (like I do now).

I would like to be the guy who oils up girls in porn movies. Either that, or work with children.

Ash, we definitely need to get together on this one.  We live not two hours from each other, and my friends and I have often had conversations lamenting the loss of our local drive-ins.  E-mail me some time.
As for my other dream jobs, I have three.  Writing for Fangoria (along with writing my own things), making music and putting out records (we're working on a record for the Brotherhood site, along with a few other projects), and acting in and directing and doing all sorts of other things involving movies.
There are my lofty dreams.  Those who scoff will be devoured.

I'm going to be the bassist in a metal or punk band.  Or else I'm going to be in jail or dead.

Dude, be a metal bassist like Tom Araya or Lemmy or Byron Stroud from Strapping Young Lad.  They destroy.

Best yet:
Be a bassist like Lemmy, get hot groupie chicks, amass millions of fans and die-hard followers worldwide. That way, when you DO go to jail (for aggrivated assault, no less), you have fans in the penn to protect and befriend you.

1) Become a script supervisor for The Fantastic Factory (the makers of Arachind, Dagon and Beyond Re-animator) They are on Barcelona, not far from my home city, and I guess they'll nedd bilingual staff.

2) Like most people who have tried to enter the world of filmmaking and have failed, to become a movie reviewer ;-)

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.
