Why is it some video games suck the first time, but are so much better the second. Did the programmers play the game and say wow, this game actually sucks! Here are some examples.

Diablo was so lame. The powers sucked, the upgrades were awful. The gameplay was slow. Suddenly, Diablo 2 came out and Just kicked butt. It was fun as hell. and the expansion is cool too.

Also, the very first Mario sucked. Now before you bite my head off, the very firstr Mario is not the one with tunnels and King Koopa, etc. No, the first one is a bunch of things like turtles and crabs popping out of the sewers and you knoched them over. that was it. how lame!!!!

The last one is Crash Bandicoot. The second one totally thrashed the first one.

So, any one else agree?

That was the original Mario Brothers.

I never played it, but my friend used to love that game, until the better ones came along. As mediocre as the original was, it was a masterpiece compared to the unbelievably crappy port they did of that game for the Amiga. Dinky little characters and they still moved in slow motion.

Then of course, there's Donkey Kong. The monkey struck gold with DKC 2 (which didn't even star him) but most of his other games are crap.
