I was replying to the favorites post, when I got thinking about my likes and dislikes. So, like any long winded bastard, I felt the need to share them. Here are my (un-solicited) opinions.:

Halloween..SUCKED. Apocolypse Now was for s**t. Woddy Allen movies fill me with an urge to deficate. I don't get Ingmar Bergman(and I don't friggin' wanna). I hate revisionist...everything. Breathless was cool, all other French flicks give me gas. I liked The Godfather III. I think fart jokes are damned hilarious. I like gratuitous blood, T&A, and profanity. Old Yeller didn't make me cry....Pete's Dragon did. I think every foreign film should have subtitles, dubbing sucks. I like wide-screen, my brother thinks they're cheating him out of the top and bottom of the picture. He's dumb...but I love him. Pink Floyd's The Wall, is not a good movie, not even if you're high. I think Steve McQueen is cooler than James Dean. The gangsters in Guys and Dolls would kick the s**t out of the gang members in West Side Story. Marlon Brando was cool until he got weird...then he was cool again...then he got weird again. John Travolta was cool until he got lame...then he was cool again...then he got lame again. I like films that are thoughtful and make me feel, but occasionally, you just wanna see a movie where a girl uses sperm as hair gel. I think movies would be cooler if more of them involved Michael Madsen and/or Edward Norton. John Waters freaks me out, but I still like his movies...this frightens me. Kevin Costner should never be allowed to make another film that requires him to speak with an accent. I love Ozzy, but I want to beat hell out of his kids!  There are more, but I don't know how to spell them. Thanks for your time.

I gotta go with you on most of this. The only exceptions I can think of is that I enjoyed The Virgin Spring from Bergman and I wouldn't mind kicking ass on John Waters.

Man Deej, Maybe I should put a surgeon general's warning on my posts for you. I didnt know asking for your favorites would bring about this unfettered rage (although I agree with most of what you said).

I agree with most of it except I love The Wall.  I guess if there's one thing I wanted to say but haven't dared yet......... I don't get Bruce C.  The guy does nothing for me, I liked Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness was all right but Bruce doesn't do much for me and strikes me as being pretty bitter whenever I read an interview with him.  Please don't crucify the heretic.

I liked Halloween.

I am not a Bruce Campbell fan.

What else did Bruce Campell even do? Why did Sam Raimi leave his character as the sole hero?

I'm not angry, just mouthy. Wasn't Bruce Campbell in "Traffic"? Has anyone read his autobio. IF CHINS COULD KILL?

Well, apart from several issues (Apocalypse Now, for instance, which is a masterpiece, Michael Madsen, who is a lost cause, or your Allen phobia), I agree with too many of your opinions. Even those about dubbing. As you know, I am not American, and I always wonder if foreign movies wouldn't be more successful in the USA if its audience was used to subtitles. Too much of the acting is lost through dubbing, and I don't have to say how crucial acting is in any movie. Ditto about T&A, The Godfather III, most french movies and Steve McQueen.

Now my main complain: Have you ever heard of paragraphs?

Just don't say anything negative about Ghostbusters, and I'll have no beef with you.

I especially agree with you on the Ozzy thing. Jack and Kelly both suck at life. They need to be smacked...hard...with a Singapore Cane...wrapped in barbed wire...covered in lemon juice...

Except for liking John Waters, I agree.  If you want to hear me rant, go to the Brotherhood site.  Love and fuzzies it ain't.
