Pod People question

I have this one on tape, and I was thinking of buying it , and I was  wondering if the host that appeared at the beginning and at the end of the program was in it. I have many of them already and he was not in any of the other ones that I have.

Do you mean the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version or was it a horror/movie host that was injected into the film?  Unfortunately, I have never seen the un-MST'd version, but my DVD box set should be here on Monday.  Then I can finally watch "Pod People" both with Joel and the 'bots, and without.  Sweet.

They should put it on a double disc with Juan Piquer (wanna picture?) Simon's other (unintentional) comic masterpiece, Monster Island. THIS should have been MST's swan song instead of Diabolik .

Do you mean Mike Nelson's impersonation of A&E host Jack Perkins, from the two-part "MST3K Hour" they used to show in syndication? If so, then no, even though it seems like a natural for the DVDs.

Yes, that is who I was talking about. I'll still get it anyway, I just hoped that they would leave it in.
