Well, I finally seen DJANGO (1966) directed by Sergio Corbucci and starring Franco Nero. Its definately a classic in its own right. Its somewhere between Eastwood and Terrance Hill films and many of the scenes are memorable.

The scene where the coffin of gold falls into the quicksand was beyond me and do they have those type of quicksand anywhere in the west? Of all the places it could fall. It had to be in that pit? The Django firing the pistol in the cemetary was to much. Note that you will enjoy the film anyway. The Blue Underground DVD has some nice extra's.

My list below is based on recent purchases and available rentals to view in the future:

Django Kill (If You Live, Shoot ! )
Mannaja (A Man Called Blade)
Run Man Run
Trinity is Still My Name
Beyond the Law
Death Rides a Horse
The Flesh Eater (Blind Dead III)
Cable Hogue (Western)
Mountain Men (Western)
Purgatory (Western)
Yojimbo (Kurasawa)
Kugemesha (Kurasawa)
Vamp (Grace Jones)
Birth of a Nation (Film History)
John Wayne Films
Puppet Master III & IV
Jason Goes to Hell
Phantasm III (and maybe part II, kinda forgot how that goes)
Lepracaun II & III

Too much what?  Of a good thing?

Spaghetti Westerns and such, heck any genre movie, aren't really prized for their logistics.

Glad to hear that you liked Django, Scott.  I guess the good things that everyone else has been saying about the movie is true.  Although I haven't really seen too many Spaghetti Westerns, except for A Fistful of Dollars, I'd assume that Django would be a good place to start.

Thought you would love DJANGO, Scott. Now get ready for RUN, MAN, RUN (1968), DJANGO KILL...IF YOU LIVE, SHOOT! (1967), and MANNAJA (1977). They're pretty damn good westerns.

By the way Scott, did you view DJANGO in it's original Italian track? If not, I suggest you do as it's WAY BETTER than the silly English dub.

Yea, the dubbing was a bit distracting. Thanks Chris.

Some people like the DJANGO sequels, some don't....none of them have Franco Nero except for the last one made years later.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

I picked up the Anchor Bay double-feature with both the original DJANGO and DJANGO STRIKES AGAIN (which is the only other Nero one as you mentioned).  I really liked them both.  I do agree with Scott, however that the ending of DJANGO is quite a stretch.  Good movie though.  Love the idea of the coffin!
