Just picked the new Army of darkness 2-disc BOOMSTICK edition. I'm glad I waited until now to buy it on dvd. I was going ot get the bootleg edition but didn't get around to it. As you all probaly know this one has the US-Theatrical cut and the directors cut. Its great to have it as an all - in - one package of sorts, and it has te extras that came with each edition on their other dvd releases. Great deal I picked it up for $23.99(canadian). Anyone else planning on or have bought it?

I'm happy with my bootleg edition, eventhough it only has Sam Rami's ending (Bruce waking up years later). This is the reason why I've kept my VHS copy of AOD, so I could see the great SMART havoc.

Anyone know when the new Evil Dead: Fist Full Of Boomstick game is coming out?

Questions:

Have you seen the special edition with the Book of the Dead rubber cover and if so, is it worth the $35 to drop on it?

Does the Boomstick edition have things in it that the Book of the Dead edition doesn't or vice versa?

Yes I have seen the Book Of The Dead S:E, but that is for Evil Dead, not army of darkness.  :p

I still have my VHS of AoD and I won't be getting rid of it, its the us cut with the featurette at the end of it.

The Boomstick Edition has a little insert about the game but I don't recall it having a release date. It looks really good though.

Duh!!

What was I thinking?!

Completely forgot that the Book of the Dead edition was for the first film in the trilogy!

I'd better start paying closer attention!

Hey, I have only seen the Evil Dead and love it. Do they sell the whole trilogy in one collection (like the Batman Legacy or the Back to the Future boxed edition) If so where???

Also, isnt Sam Raimi doing a vampire movie? Anyone have some info on this????

The vampire movie is based on graphic novel about vampires coming up to a small Alaskan town when night falls for the next few months.  Supposedly its the movie he plans to make after finishing Spiderman 2.

BUY THE BOOK OF THE DEAD VERSION!
It is completely awesome!  I've had a copy since last April and it is by far the best DVD I own.
