Does anyone remember . . . ?

Does anyone remember back in the early days of HBO when they had Kung-Fu Theater on every Friday night? They would show two badly dubbed martial arts flicks. Then afterward they would show one or two teen sex comedies. Me and my buddies used to sit around the TV for hours with beers and Doritos and laugh our butts off.

For some reason, one particular night stands out in my mind. I still remember the line-up of movies for that night:

Kung-Fu Theater showed:

* SNAKE FIST FIGHTER (very good and funny)
* SNAKE FIST DRAGON (terrible)

The teen sex comedy that was on afterward was:

* H.O.T.S. (co-starring Danny Bonaduce of Prtridge Family fame!)

Talk about a mindless waste of time. I loved it.

Unfortunately, HBO did away with this Friday night format after only a few months.

That must have been before we got HBO, however I do remember them running horror movies at like 2 or 3am on Friday nights. That was where I first saw Phantasm.
