Does anyone remember this boardgame? I think it came out in the late 1970s. It was sort of like monopoly, except that there were horror movie cards instead of property cards. (So, instead of buying Boardwalk, you'd buy CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON or something). The cards had black & white photos of famous movie monsters on them (Creature, Mr. Hyde, Wolf Man, etc.)

I see it being sold on Ebay from time to time.

Maybe they should make an updated version with Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, Leatherface, Chucky, etc,

I seem to remember a DAWN OF THE DEAD board game, but I never owned it. I don't remember the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET GAME.

Other notable games from the past:

* THE GODFATHER GAME (probably a piece of crap because it went out of print very quickly - I have seen it on Ebay from time to time).

* THE WATERGATE SCANDAL GAME (disappeared from the market just about as quickly as THE GODFATHER game)

* PLANET OF THE APES (I had this one - you would move your humans around the board - if they got caught, they were placed on top of a cardboard cage and you would press a button to make them fall into the cage)

* CURSE OF THE MUMMY (I think that was the name of it - there was a plastic mummy case in the middle of the board with a small record inside it - from time to time you would play the record and the mummy's voice would tell you what to do - they made a similar game called SEANCE that also involved a record)

* WHICH WITCH? (I don't remember much about this one, except the name)

* DARK SHADOWS (I think this one involved building little rubber skeletons out of arms, legs, skulls, etc. . . . or maybe that was WHICH WITCH?)

They don't make games like these anymore.
