I'm gonna take a stand and defend the FotNS live action movie.  Yeah, it was far from perfect.  Sure, it probably could've been better.  And yes, there have been a lot better live action movies (the Guyvers, as already mentioned).  But I still love the FotNS live action movie.  Now this is probably because I enjoy the anime very much, and I'm a big fan of Gary Daniels.  I think Daniels did an admirable job at playing Kenshiro.  He wasn't terrific, but he wasn't bad.  Sure, he's always got that worried look on his face, but the guy is an incredible martial artist.  For proof of this, check out Bloodmoon.  I'm sure there are other guys that could've done a better job than Daniels, but he did an OK job, IMO.  I can only complain about the lack of gore, considering that was a big part of the anime, and has a lot to do with the uniquness of the fighting style.  Also, the casting of this movie cracked me up.  Downtown Julie Brown, Chris Penn, Malcolm McDowell, Clint Howard, Big Van Vader of former WWF fame.. the list simply goes on and on.  I didn't take the movie too seriously, and I ended up liking it.  I know 99% of everyone will disagree with me on this, but I had to defend the flick, as well as Gary Daniels, who doesn't usually get the respect he deserves.

Then again, it's probably just one of my guilty pleasures.
