Inspired by Chris's recent post about a movie quote.

Back during the thread about actors who have played Satan, a scene popped into my head, and for the life of me, I can't think of what movie it's from.

A guy is talking to the devil (who looks like a normal person) and he says something like "I'm not falling for that, you're trying to tempt me!" to which the devil replies (as near as I can recall) "Man gives into temptation freely enough on his own, thank you very much."

I'm sure it's something painfully obvious, but I just can't place it.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

I think it's one of the exchanges between Gabriel Byrne as Satan and Ah-nold in END OF DAYS, though I'd have to check the tape to make sure.

Gabriel Byrne made one hell of a Devil I must say (no pun intended).

I seem to recall it being in a more light-hearted movie.

It sounds more like the movie The Prophecy

No, whatever it was, I'm pretty sure that it was at least part comedy. I get the impression (although I could be wrong) that the devil wasn't portrayed as a bad guy out to corrupt people, just someone who handles those people who are already evil.

I keep thinking it might be Oh God, You Devil or the Liz Hurley version of Bedazzled.

Dogma? I'm trying to remember if there even was a devil character in that.

That was my second guess.
