Back in 1989, sci-fi/horror director Antonio Marghreti was near his final ends of his career as a diretor (known under his Americanized credit name as 'Anthony M. Dawson'). One film which has been considered to be Marghareti's most entertaining feature, right next to CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE (1980; U.S. Title: INVASION OF THE FLESH HUNTERS), is ALIEN FROM THE DEEP.

Produced by Franco Gaudenza, responsible for ZOMBI 3 (1988) and AFTER DEATH (1989) for those who are counting, ALIEN FROM THE DEEP tells a tale about a toxic waste facility on a tropical island dumping radioactive materials in a nearby volcano (not a bad place to dump the stuff). A nosy reporter and a snake-hunter are already spying on the place. But then, a large alien spacecraft crashes in the ocean. Soon, strange tentacle's begin popping up out of the ground and release a deadly toxin that mutates some of the scientists at the facility and become raving mad. Then, the alien reveals itself to be a giant and attacks the facility. Add Charles Napier as the evil commander dumping the toxic waste in the volcano, and you got some wacky stuff going on here.

Now I haven't seen the film and the plot synopsis was taken from various sources, but I am thinking about picking this baby up from my local bootlegger and I want to know if anybody has seen this film at all? And if so, is it worth watching or not?
