Ouch! - the above mentioned is a rare commodity - a US/Canadian co-production. (Judging by this effort let's hope it remains rare). An ancient demon tries to open the gates of hell (yet again) by sacrificing a wee bairn during a solar eclipse, to bring about the the arrival of Mr. A. Christ. A renegade priest (another one?) tries to stop this prophecy coming true in a barking-mad movie that comes over (optional sn****ring) as a cross between The Omen and Showgirls. It actually features topless demons pole-dancing in a cemetery (this is the only "original" idea of the whole movie - I don't think this was featured in Mr. Stoker's original story, somehow). The acting is surprisingly non-crap at times, and the script doesn't hang around. The saddest part, though is the appearance of Michael Rooker (he was excellent as Henry in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer) as the priest, but I suppose bills have to be paid. A badmovie - watchable for its sheer lunacy.
