Recieved a 15 dollar certificate for On Cue (aka Sam Goody) in the mail a few days ago.  Left work on my lunch break today and went directly there.

Sitting on the rack was the DVD copy of The Seven Doors Of Death that I always ALMOST pick up but never do.  I had it in my hand when I started searching deeper in the DVDs.  I eventually found The Changeling on DVD for 14.99.

Therein lies my problem.

I had The Changeling in my hand when I saw Creepshow 2.  Having been a massive fan of the original Creepshow, I picked it up.  I ended up buying it without really thinking.

So here is my question: Should I have boughten "The Changeling" instead????  I've read so much great stuff about it.....

Dammmmn!

THE CHANGLING is excellent!  One of the best ghost story movies ever.  It has a few hokey moments, but overall it's a very riveting film.  I'd rate it right up there with THE HAUNTING (1963) and THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE.

THE CHANGELING is FAR, FAR better than CREEPSHOW 2! However, I'm pretty sure that I bought THE CHANGELING on DVD for about $9.99, as opposed to $14.95. (Yep . . . I was right . . . THE CHANGELING is available for $9.89 from Deep Discount DVD . . . plus free shipping!)

And as for SEVEN DOORS OF DEATH, I believe it is a cut version. I have the uncut version, which is titled THE BEYOND. I'm not a big fan of the movie, but I recommend you buy that version instead of SEVEN DOORS OF DEATH.

Yes.  Yes you did.

The Changeling is an excellent movie.

Creepshow 2 is... not.

The Changling is better in memory, I liked it years ago but I actually bought this DVD a few weeks back and re-watched it and felt that it was the kind of movie I probably won't watch again so I'm stuck with it. (same with Quest for Fire). I like the classic style of suspenseful thrillers and horrors but this wasn't the kind of movie for my collection, probably something I should have just rented - i enjoy getting movies i know i'll rewatch at least 3 times.

BTW, I noticed a bare bones disc of CREEPSHOW has hit the Wal-Mart 5.88 bin.
