MOTORAMA (1991) - Story of a boy about 10 years old who crafts some stilted legs and steals a red car and drives away from home. It's a pointless yet surreal film that has many stars in it including Drew Barrymore, Meatloaf, Dick Miller, Garrett Morris, Flea (from Red Hot Chili Peppers), and more that you will recognise. The boy sees a advertisement for Motorama game card and sets out to spell the whole word to win the prize. After finding the elusive "R" he tries to retrieve his prize only to be cheated out of it and he ends up pumping gas with a man in a total body cast. The best part of the film is the great location which is the Paria Plateau and Lake Powell area. Awesome shots in this film.

Thumbup (6 out of 10 Stars) Check it out if you get the chance.

Surreal is certainly right.

Overall I didn't like this movie, though I'm certain it has its fans.

It has been a while since I have seen it. I do recall some of the imagery.

This comes off rather like a Fulci film during his dark period; the pieces are laid out bare with the idea for the viewer to put them together to make sense out of it. It needed to be put together better in the first place.

I loved this movie when it first came out.  I haven't seen it in a long time, so thanks for letting me know it's out on DVD.  I'll have to watch it again.

The film is very self-consciously weird, which is of course what I was looking for.  The low-key rhythm and offbeat humor worked for me.  It does seem very early '90s.

Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

I remember this one. I saw it years ago but remember liking it. It kinda reminded me of "After Hours" with the kid in the Griffin Dunne role. Loved all the strange characters. I'd like to see this one again, I haven't spotted it in any video stores in a long time, but I should just get the dvd, it's pretty cheap.
