I copied & pasted your text "70s british film about a gang of bikers who die and come back from the dead" into Google and it came up with "Psychomania".

Not sure if its the right film but from the review I read it sounds pretty close.

PSYCHOMANIA is one of my favorite movies. Other biker movies that I like are:

Wild One (Marlon Brando "What da ya got")
Easy Rider (The Classic)
Wild Angels (Peter Fonda)
Quadraphenia (Sting movie debut I believe before the Police)
Hells Angels on Wheels (Jack Nicholson)
Born Losers (Billy Jack takes on bikers)

She Devils on Wheels (Now this is a bad movie)
Biker Chicks from Zombie Town (Just plain stupid, not sure if I even got the title right)
