Today, Sunday, September 14th, 2003...

PHANTASM, PHANTASM II, and PHANTASM OBLIVION are all on in a row.
9a-11a: Phantasm
11a-1p: Phantasm II
1p-3p: Phantasm OblIVion
3p-5p: Creepshow

I'm surprised at the lack of PHANTASM III (even if it is the worst one, it's still a turning point in the overall storyline of the series), though.

PHANTASM III is the worst one? Drezzy, you've lost my respect. :(

Sci-Fi still sucks because of all the damn commercials they show.

When you're watching the Phantasm movies, count how many ads they show in one typical break.
Anywhere from 8 to 15!

And worse, they have a commercial break every ten minutes!

I don't understand why Sci-Fi needs so many ads.
Other networks don't show as many ads as Sci-Fi does.

I don't watch Sci-Fi anymore.

They were ALL R-rated movies and will not be shown with the violence/gore effects intact. I have them all UNCUT and UNINTERRUPTED on video, so why bother watching them on SciFi when they're being shown cut up and interrupted by commercials so often? Doesn't make sense...

The mind boggles....

Well, that's good motivation if you actually own them and can watch the full things whenever you want.

For people who don't and may want to watch them, it's probably worth it

.....seeing an R-rated or unrated movie CUT UP on tv? That doesn't seem worth it to me.

Probably because I have yet to find a good DVD copy of any of them but the original (which is my least favorite one).

1. Since when the s**t did I HAVE your respect, Foy?

2. It is. It's nothing but a rehash of II, this time with a cute kid and the best ending of the The Tall Man yet (GOLD ORB~!). The movie itself is pretty crap until the last 20 minutes or so, when things actually start happening that make sense in the storyline of the past two films.

Wait, things make sense in the PHANTASM movies?

If it wasn't for tv i would have never seen Evil Dead 2 and therefore might never have been able to see Army of Darkness or maybe never come across this site and stayed as long as i have.  So Tv showings of movies help people decide if they like them, but that's just like my opinion .... man.

In the storyline? Yes. Part 3 was just "hey, Reggie and some kid that killed three mobster-like people that tried to get into his house hook up with a combat chick, and they go hunting for Mike and The Tall Man."
