1977's YETI, THE GIANT OF THE 20TH CENTURY

Good luck finding one funnier than that. Ironically, we're showing it at SCHLOCKTOBERFEST. I anticipate it bringing the house down.

MegaForce
Metalstorm: The Destruction Of Jared Syn
Dungeon Master
Space Hunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone

These are all *much* better that Rock and Roll Nightmare, but for the most part are not painful and can be laughed along with.

Then, a step below is the various giant mecha movies: Robot Jox, Robo Warriors, etc..

Further down the line is Robot Holocaust and Pheonix-The Warrior

I'm not going to anoint any "funniest bad movie of all time" because of my deep-seated retarded issues with such titles, but I will suggest one movie.

TROLL 2

I know many, many people hate this movie.  And I'm not going to try to defend it as something good.

It's not that this movie is completely inept.  It's that it's inept in so many interesting ways.  Most movies you see are bad, but you can easily tell why the movie is bad.  Bad acting, bad story, maybe it's transparent that the producer pushed too hard for something even they didn't know how to verbalize.  Yup, that's how most movies are bad.

TROLL 2, however, defies these constraints.  This movie is not only bad, it's bad in ways that nobody would ever think of.  What were they thinking when they made this movie?  That's most of the fun when I watch this movie.

I don't know what to say if you haven't seen it.  I tormented my coworker the other day by continually asking him "Who are the goblins?"

Seriously, TROLL 2 cracks me up, and it is seriously bad.  Is that what you were asking for?

Not from the 80's, and some might argue that it's not really "bad", but John Carpenter's "Dark Star" had me about to pee my pants the first time I saw it.

i don't mean intentionally funny by the way.... i'll look into some of those, i heartily recommend killjoy however...the only movie i've ever seen without one single white person in it! woohoo!

I still think that PLAN 9, NIGHT OF THE GHOULS, and BRIDE OF THE MONSTER are among the funniest.

I also have a few others on DVD like TEENAGE STRANGLER and BLOOD FREAK that are good for laughs.

I just get done watching a really unintentionally funny cop movie called "Shotgun". They try so hard to get the 'cops on the edge Mianmi Vice' thing, but they succeed only in portraying the main characters like a grown-up Erkle and some pasty white guy with shaggy shoulder-length hair (not 'I'm tough' long hair, more like 'I play too much Everquest' long hair). The story is pretty funny, too...

Try "The Thing with 2 Heads" starring Rosie Grier

It's the story of a white racist scientist who is dying.  He needs a body so he can transplant his head onto it and live on.  He ends up with Rosie Grier (very large black football player).   Anyways, Rosie and his racist white 2nd head end up in the WORLDS LONGEST SCENE EVER, involving a dirtbike.  I swear that scene took up half of the stupid movie.  In any case, it's pretty damned hilarious.

EXORCIST II: THE HERETIC.   Lots of unintentionally hilarious dialogue, and Richard Burton hamming the place up with a nonsensical plot involving locusts.
