JESSE JAMES MEETS FRANKENSTEINS DAUGHTER (1966) - Just finish this film I taped on AMC last week. This one is a bit entertaining. Jesse James and his partner get ambushed. Jesse takes his partner to a castle on a hill. The castle is just a painting in the background. The town below is deserted because of Frankensteins daughters experiments. Jesse and his wounded partner get to the castle with the help of a senorita named Juanita who knows all about the daughter of Frankenstein. It's only a must view if your must see strange titles. They operate on Jesse's partner a muscle bound outlaw who has his head shaven and stitches all around (they don't show this happening). They bring a brain in a jar alive with something that looked like salt crystals. Then the brain would jump like a wounded frog in a jar. The film has some entertainment value. In fact they even have lightning and a labratory. It's better than BILLY THE KID VS DRACULA.

This was a favorite of mine when I was very young (around 6 or 7 years old).  It seemed to be on television quite frequently (often on Saturday afternnons).  When I was that young, I didn't appreciate how BAD this movie probably is.  (I haven't seen it in at least 30 years, I'd guess).  All I remember is that the monster was bald, and I kept wondering why he didn't have a flat head like the "real" Frankenstein monster.

I would love to see this again because I'm sure I'd get quite a few laughs out of it.

I've seen this a couple of times. In spite of the title, I think she was actually Frankenstein's granddaughter. I loved the way she kept talking about creating life, when she was just sticking the few artificial brains grandpa made (he took the secret to his grave, so she can't even duplicate them) into kids from the village. Sorry honey, you ain't created s--t.

It might also be in her interest to, oh, maybe try to recreate her grandfather's research, instead of perfecting an application for something nobody can produce.

There is also the whole sorry idea of reawakening memories in Hank, when he doesn't have his original brain.

Bad, bad movie.

It was an ok film. One that should be seen I suppose, but I liked LADY FRANKENSTEIN much better.

BILLY THE KID VS DRACULA was a waste and it would never make it in my collection. It had one and maybe two moments, but it was just plain bad. It would have been bad as in boring but the idea of Dracula in the West makes it watchable.
