I feel the same way about it, as well as lots of other movies - mostly courtesy of constant play on HBO.  Midnight Madness, Strange Brew, Buckaroo Banzai are all also in this category.

Ahhhh.... Buckaroo Banzai... I always knew that someone out there besides myself appreciated that mess of a film. : )

I think "Buckaroo Banzai" has a big cult following.

I was really annoyed when I heard that more movies were planned but Peter Wellers wanted to do "RoboCop" instead and the director of BB said they couldn't do it without Wellers
