I've heard that the Golden Globes don't have quite the integrity of the Oscars...

one could also question how a pic could win best picture and not best editing when most of us know how much cutting and putting together of scenes in the editing room can truly make..or break...a film

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” took on the mantle of front-runner for the Oscars Saturday night as it won the highest honor for a film given by the Producers Guild of America.

Ten of the 14 previous winners of the Guild’s Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Theatrical Motion Picture have gone on to win the best picture Oscar from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, making it a key indicator in the battle for filmdom’s highest prize.

I heard Bill Cosby actually accepted the Razzie for "Leonard Part 6" because he knew the movie really sucked

I don't think it will win.   There are too many movies out that are more traditional Oscar fare...and I think ROTK is probably hardest of the three to get into for people who aren't inclined to like fantasy films to begin with.

It depends. I think this year they are not allowing anyone on the academy to take home the movies on dvd, limiting the movies they see. While they are encouraged they are not forced to see all the nominees, so sometimes the winner can boil down to simply which movie most people voting saw. It's not traditional oscar fare, but then neither was Titanic. This year will be interesting, "Cold Mountain" is really the type of movie that could win - but I think this is one of those years where there could be suprises in store

Not bad raj ;-)

I coulda guessed it wasn't nicoles year. I have a theory that any beautiful actress who gets "ugly" in a film always sweeps up the awards
