Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVD or not?

I ordered the ATHF DVD set in early December hoping to give it to a friend for Christmas. It is still on backorder.
My friend tells me that they only made about 5000 copies which sold out fast and they won't make any more. Given that he's prone to false info and the fact that I haven't heard or read of that anywhere - does anyone know what the status is of this DVD?

It's a great show on Adult Swim if no one has seen it yet.

Only what was said on the Adult Swim site, which I assume you've already checked out.  They said temporaily out-of-stock, so I would assume that more would be on the way.

I found a copy at Borders for around 30 bucks (thanks you gift cards!).  It's definitely worth buying though.  I just wish I could get my kids to stop running around the house screaming "Hug MUMMY!!!!!  CUUUUURSE!!!!".
