Am I the only one who notices a strong resemblance to the Anne McCaffrey Dragon series of books?  It seems like they ripped off a lot of her ideas.

Well... the dragons were good, I thought...  I was sure hoping they would win over the Merlin, the dwarf, the Kung Fu and the questionable looking princess...  not to mention the scraggly haired huntsman.... alas....  the quick wit of mankind prevails again over majestic beast who forgets to shoot fire when the opportunity knocks...  Anybody like the scorching dragon parts falling from the sky?  I personally think if The Lord of the Rings casting director had seen this first, we would have watched another dwarf....  I also thought he should try for the part of Saddam Hussein if the movie ever comes up....  Go Dragons!

You can see some of the cast on the SciFi website.  Angel Boris plays the princess.  she does a live streaming interview

>>>kinda lame.<<<

Kind of?  They could have at LEAST not cut the dragons' deaths by going to commercial so fast.

If a movie stars an ex-Playboy Playmate in a featured role they really should be required to get naked at least once. I don't think that's asking too much. :)

On a non-premium cable channel? Actually, it looked like she might have had a nude scene that was censored. Guess you'll just have to rent the DVD.

My two cents:
It seemed at times that it was parodying (or acknowledging) all the B-movie cliches, like with the four teenagers going into the cave to get down to business. . .

I couldn't stand the huntsman's hair -- bad wig job, plus it made him look like a junkie.

What I learned from this movie:
if your castle is being attacked by dragons, and there is a knock on the front gate, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR!

Angel Boris did a good job as the princess, it's nice to know that some playmates can act.

Saw the movie.  Wasn't at all impressed with the story line...  There was supposed to be one right?????

Anyway, thought the dragons (what you got to see of them) was good - especially the two scenes where they actually showed the dragons ripping pieces off people.

Just once, though, it would be nice to have a GOOD story aout dragons and perhaps not necessarily make them the bad guys!

Just my $0.02!

Dragon Storm is based on a game. Now wouldn't it be better to base a SciFi movie on a complete literary environment. Why not PERN, and dragons that mean and do something.

No, because there the gap in skill and creativity between the novelist and the movie makers is much more obvious

According to the SciFi news service this is the highest rated original movie in their history. Check it out!

Hmmm:
glass half empty:  SF will continue to do movies on the cheap, and badly
glass half full:  SF will feel emboldened to increase the budget of its movies.  For things like writers, make-up artists. . .
