Do you guys enjoy where you live? Where DO you live? I live in San Mateo, CA. I't's really cool here. We have mini golfing, theater, billiards, and we're real close to San Fran. So I like where I live. The only thing is, it's the most expensive place to live in the country. An average apartment costs about $1,300 a month. The cheapest you'll find a house is at $430,000. One hell of an expensive place to live in. If we moved to Conneticut, we'd live in a mansion, I'm not kidding. But, we're in an average house instead. But I don't think I want to move. What's it like where you live???

I live in Phoenix,Az. I can't wait to get out of here.  I have lived here for ten years and I still don't like it.  It rarely rains. During the summer it is hell.  I do like some of the landscape. The Superstition mountains are pretty.  I like northern Arizona much more.

I live in Fresno, and am about to move to the Bay Area.  I lived in Tulsa, OK for about seven years before moving to CA last fall.

We're already wanting to move from the Bay Area in the next six or seven years depending on what happens.  It's too difficult to save money here.   I'd like to move to Portland, Oregon.

I lived in Tucson for a couple of months after college and things didn't go so great for me there.

I live about 2 hours away from Freep, and I really like Iowa.  Sure, it's a little plain, but I'm not much for cities.  They're nice to visit, and we have several within easy driving distance.  I envision myself living somewhere farther north, either Minnesota or Canada, or in New England at some point.

I live in a suburb north of Boston, Massachusetts.  I have lived in this general area all my life, and I'm pretty happy.  I'm far enough from Boston to avoid the traffic and congestion, yet I'm close enough that I can venture into the city whenever I have the urge.

However, I have done quite a bit of traveling for work, and I can say that Massachusetts is one of the most conservative states in the U.S.  - no casinos, very few clubs that feature exotic dancers, the bars close between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., etc.  So, this is not a good place to be if you enjoy partying late into the evening.

I find the following cities to be far more exciting.  If I ever DO move, it will probably be to:

* New York City
* Chicago
* Atlanta
* New Orleans
* Las Vegas

THOSE cities know how to party!

Zilla.
I live in Cincinnati and for me to go to LA is about 1800 miles.  You could go to Moscow, across 10 countries, in that distance.

I  was stationed at RAF Edzell for two years back in the 70's, I really liked it there and thought it was quite beautiful. I really liked the people there and hope to get back for a visit someday.

I live in Arkansas now where I grew up mainly because of family. I live out in the country  and I like it here because there's not a line everywhere you go to do anything.

I have lived in Fort Worth, TX for a year and a half; in north Louisiana for about  13 years and then in Houston, TX for two years.

We hated Houston, it's polluted, hot and muggy most of the year, and I kept a sinus and ear infection most of the time we were there because of all the mold and crap in the air.  I also hated my job at Compaq doing telephone tech support  (most stressful job you can have other than air traffic controller).

I live in Brooklyn, NY, and yeah, despite everything, we like it.

In fact, we just moved 2 weeks ago -- about a mile and a half, from one part of the borough to another!  (The good part is we went from renting to owning!)

Early last year when we were first contemplating moving, my wife and I talked first about whether we wanted to leave New York -- for two main reasons -- the expense, and the threat of more terrorist attacks -- but it took us about 5 minutes to decide that, dammit, we're New Yorkers and we don't want to live anywhere else.

I grew up about 20 miles from here so I guess that's understandable.  My wife was born in CA, raised in Oklahoma and Arizona, came here about 15 years ago and loves it.  Some people are just city people and some are just country people, I guess.

I'm in Toledo (OH, not the Spanish one).  It's nice enough, the ball team plays in a nice park -- unlike the Capital City Bombers in Columbia, SC.  I've also lived in the Hudson Valley, Northern Jersey, Arlington VA, Seattle, but probably if I had to pick one place it'd be Portland, OR.

I live in Iowa and was born and raised here.
I've never lived anywhere else.

Iowa is nice but every few or so years you start to go stir crazy and need to get out for a week or two on vacation.

If I ever became famous or won the lottery I would always maintain a home here in Iowa even if I chose to live in another state.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no place quite like Iowa.
I love it here!

I live in Oklahoma City(that's in Oklahoma)...actually about 70 miles away, but I work in OKC. It a pretty cool place. It's roughly the size of Boston, so plenty to do, but surrounded by wide open spaces and small towns...so no urban burnout. Traffic isn't too bad(except around construction) and the downtown area is undergoing a revitalization, so alot of new clubs, restaurants, shops, and bars.

Also lived in Atlanta, San Diego(Oceanside), Boston, and Buffalo. But my girlfriend and I both have our families in Oklahoma, so...here we are. Not a bad place to be.

If I had cash, though, I'd move to Bennington, VT; Fredonia, NY; or Orchard Park, NY.

I've lived in New Jersey now for about  22 years. All I can say is "someone has to do it". It suits our purposes for the moment. Living life with my beautiful wife and daughter.

I grew up in upstate New York in the Southern Tier near the Finger Lakes. This will always be my place of fondest memories. Those of childhood that is.

We  lived for a year in Florida back in 91 (not far from Jacksonville). They still have that quite racial problem in Northern Florida which can effect work relations. It's kinda like living anywhere in the deep South. Inter-racial marriages seem to bother them most. New Jersey is our safe haven for now.

Looking to move within 15 years. Eithier the Western States, Upstate New York, Philippines, and who knows maybe New Hampshire. Most likely the Southwest though. If we could move now it would be the Southwest.
