Ok i found a neat site that recommends movie rentals based on your personality. I have no idea if there are b movies in that database but none came up for me, however the suggestions were a good match for the type of movies I like.

What To rent

I took the personality test and the first film it suggested I watch was "The Player" directed by Robert Altman.

Hmmmm.....I've never seen this one so I may indeed have to check it out.

Is it any good?

try these:
Them
It came from outer space
Monster on the campus(one of my faves!)
The monster that challenged the world

and if you are really into howling bad B movies, try "The giant claw"

My recommendations initially (before making adjustments) based on movies of my taste that were popcorn fun were stuff like American Psycho, Lolita, being john malkovich, Quills, clockwork orange...(click on the buttons that allows them to make more recommendations)

holy cow i must be a freak!

What's sadder is the fact that I've not only seen all the movies it recommended...but i like em too ;-)

I kept clicking on the see more movies button and I think I have seen 8 of the first ten it suggested. It did a pretty good job, but smack dab in the middle it said Casablanca (between From Dusk Till Dawn and Clerks)

WTF!!!!

That is an entertaining site.  I wish the movies were a little bit more obscure though, most of them seemed pretty mainstream.  Or maybe I am just so far out of the stream that everything seems mainstream.

I tried this.  The recommendation I got was ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST (should I be offended?)

When I clicked on "I've already seen this," the alternate recommendation was 25TH HOUR with Edward Norton.

Requiem for a Dream - Already own it

The Virgin Suicides - Never seen.  Probably rent.

A Clockwork Orange - A favorite of mine.

Satyricon - Never heard of this one.  Looks like it was directed by Fellini....maybe I'll check it out.

Being John Malkovich - Another favorite.

I'm actually suprised at how well this site works.  Knew the exact films I liked.  Awesome.

I dunno, I got American Pyscho..should I?

I had a friend of mine try this and she's not a big movie buff, she likes these crap movies and her recommendations were right on, stuff like Dirty Dancing. They need to tweak it and add more obscure, foreign and b titles. Overall it seemed pretty good, when I adjusted hte setting to movies that were NOT my taste it recommended movies that...literally are not my taste (plenty of julia roberts flicks)

Just thought it was a neat little site, might take the "think" out of my next rental altho it seems like every movie it recommends i've seen. I need to get out more...

That site was right on the button but most of the movies it was popping up I've already seen.

Caddyshack
Rushmore
The Blues Brothers
The Dentist
Airplane!
The Dirty Dozen
The Way of the Gun
Die Hard

For some reason it wants me to watch the Rocky Movies.  I've seen those once (All 4 of them), don't need to see then again.  It is pretty entertaining though.

I just tried this, filled out the questions, clicked Continue and it just sat there trying to connect to the site, finally declaring that the site wasn't reachable. I used the back button and it reloaded the page clearing all my choices. I was kind of looking forward to see what it would recommend, but I really don't feel like going through all the questions again only to have it screw up again.
