DEAD ALIVE, though it's more comedic gore like in a Monty Python movie.

Second place....probably DAY OF THE DEAD or maybe one of the Italian ones.  Less quantity than DEAD ALIVE, but more quality, that is, more disgusting.  Gore in a horror movie is just better and more disturbing than gore in a gross-out comedy.

Braindead/dead alive.

I haven't seen premutos (it's also called 'premutos, der gefallene engel' and 'premutos, the fallen angel') but it has a reputation of being insanely gory, right up there with braindead.

Dead alive isn't really gory.  It's more messy and nasty.  Gory has to go to the zombie/demon films from italy.

.  .  .  .  I don't know if you've seen it, and I hate to keep recomending it to you, but, Violent Sh-- 3: Infantry of Doom/Zombie Doom.  I don't know of anything more violent, (though I don't watch a lot of "zombie" films and sadly have yet to see the Italian zombie films that everyone here has).  Maybe Redneck Zombies, but I stil think VS3 wins.  A samurai sword slicing (I think at least two) zombie head is pretty dang funny.  As is the nazi "Dr." and his lovely patients; ribs never looked so... um... exposed.

I must agree with eeeee5.

The 'violent s**t' films are extremely gory.  Very cheap and badly made, but extremely violent as the name implies.
