Last night,MTV2's Headbangers Ball premiered the video for Anthrax's longly-awaited "What Doesn't Die",and despite that being a great tune(which should have instead been the closing song in the "Dawn of the Dead" redux end credits, instead of that overplayed, inescapable Disturbed crap),the video is a sheer disappointment, for there are barely any zombies glimpsed upon, for Anthrax and their new whacky hairstyle(John Bush shaved his head bald[!!!!],and Rob the new bassist has a mohawk[!!!!] )instead get all of the major shots and close-ups. Despite the cool end where the Anthraxers are chased(and then, nabbed) by zombies, the rest of the video just doesn't click. It's so sad that Anthrax didn't deliver their promise on this being a zombies-filled video, for the new "Dawn..." vibe is there, but is poorly underused, making this all as majorly as much as a letdown as their "We've Come For You All" album. It's even more sad to see that the far superior new Slipknot video took a major backseat(and was the very last video of the night) to this one.
Come on,Scott, for we all know that you guys can do way,way better than this!!!
