Yeah, i guess out of all sports i never got football, why is this the american  pasttime? I'm sure football fans will leap down my throat now but everytime i tune in it's about 10 seconds of actual playtime, then they all fall down, then you wait about 5 minutes for them to line up again. It's excrutiating, the only move a few yards each play. ;-)

But yeah there are fanatics for nearly everything.  This is just one of the hobbies that always seem to get more of a backlash among everyday people who are usually the type tha go to movies to turn their brain off. They can't accept that someone would actually critique it, their whole purpose in life is to show up, pay their $15 or more, sit for 2 hours like Dopey and then proclaim how good that movie was. They don't wanna explain why, or even talk about improbabilities or dig deeper into the meaning, mostly because they had their brain switched into hypersleep

I watch Baseball, AMerican Football and NASCAR.  I don't watch Soccer or Basketball and I don't particularly care for them.  One thing I realize thoough is that many sports are pretty boring to watch until you've taken the time to understand what skills are needed, what strategies are involved, what mentality goes on, etc...  So I've gotten to the point that with other sports, I won't bother to say "it's boring" or "it's stupid" but merely "it doesn't interest me" or "I don't watch it" meaning just that I haven't put the time into developing the knowledge neccessary to understand the sport well, but neither will I put down those that have beause I know that Baseball and NASAR are boring to a lot of people who haven't put the time in to understand them either, so I'm not going to bother to defend them :)
