Help! I am trying to remember the name of a B horror movie that I rented around 1985 or so. It was made in the early 80s i believe...Here are the vague details:

- It concerns an outbreak of blobbish people eating aliens in a small, quaint hill town. a group of clever kids saves the day (suprise).
- The aliens come in various sizes, the smaller ones are about the size of a cucumber, and I think they kind of resembled lamprey eels. The largest one is as big as a mountain, and in the end, a local hillside reveals itself to be one of the aliens, the mama alien I guess.
- one of the larger aliens lives in somebody's basement
- I think it rains during a good bit of the movie
- The cover art on the VHS featured one of the aliens sitting in a pool of blood
- At the end of the film, the local folk kill the little aliens with electric shock wands
- somewhere in the film, a severed head or arm makes an appearance.
- and, probably my most fond and revealing memory: One of the lil' aliens somehow makes it into a blender, and eventually into a lunch party held by one of the townsfolk. and, of course, its the best meal they ever had. I may have made that last detail up, but it could easily be assumed...

Vague enough? Please help me! I feel like the fleeting memory of the film is eating me alive!!!

This is The Deadly Spawn, also known as The Alien's Deadly Spawn and Return of the Aliens: The Deadly Spawn.
It just got a great DVD release from Synapse a few weeks ago, widely available at Best Buy or your favorite internet movie shop.  Great stuff.
