Am i the only one here who feels like this flick is a guilty pleasure? I'd die before i lived with Cockroaches......agine.....but i have to say, this thing is funny! The grand concite of this thing makes it a must for Andrew to review. The music....yeah, i had to recore this stuff for my tape collection, is so weird....but it works! If Cockroaches sang and danced, they would sing about "Sewer surfing". The background music makes me think of the music track of PeeWee's Big Adventure, as per style and additude. I guess it's just the over all spirited weirdness that makes this thing work....who knew? Oh, BTW, the DVD....it has the French soundtrack as an option. Watching Ralph Roach telling the evil..(.Don Ho!.)..landlord's henchmen to take a hike...in French, is a hysterical  as in English. Its sick...its disgusting....its...a guilty pleasure. What can i say. Jerry Connell is our kind of guy! Definatly proof that behind a hansome face, may lurk the mind of a true Bizzaro. Works for me! And to think...it all started on MTV.

Funny enough, beyond all reason - I like this film.  It makes me laugh.  I remember hearing that they were going to make the short into a full length movie and thinking it would suck.  Obviously I do not have ESP.

"Funky towel..."

The only part I really liked was the name of the band.
And of course their choice of advertising and apparent disregard for experience in drummers.

I still favor the original short. (By the way, if you look up/buy the VHS I Want My MTV offa eBay, you get Joe's Apt., Slow Bob In The Lower Dimensions, and all the other fug-dup animated shorts MTV used to be famous for. Last time I looked, eBay had about three million copies of I Want available, but that was a while ago.)
