Well, here I am, deliberately staying off the Bad Movie site, because knowing that Andrew has got sent to Hostile Foreign Parts I anticipated hideous news, and also not many updates.  I check back in after months and months and - he has a son?  A son and heir?  When did this happen?
Congratulations!!
You know what to expect from experience with  your first-born, I take it.  Just be aware that your residence will now need Patent Expanding Walls to accomodate all the toys and clothes for your duo.  *And* a cull of all soft toys every six weeks.
Really, despite never having met either Andrew or Kate, or Offspring x 2, I wish all of you all the best, and a safe return home.

NB.  Also, watch out for Lego.  It comes in different colours that camouflage on your carpet,  exists in very small sizes and hurts like a SoB if you step on it in bare feet.

And I have actually suffered through a few films (such as "Candy") and written reviews - they are just not published yet.  Plus, I've done the math and it looks like the average is about 1 in 300 of us over here are killed, with about 6 wounded for each death.  That does give me pretty good odds of coming home.

Besides, my will specifically details that the website remain up, taken care of by a trust and that the reviews be placed in the public domain.  So, even if I do not come back, the site should continue as a sort of archive.

I've probably gotten my wife more times with little 1X2 blocks than I care to remember.  After I get back I want to start working on a couple of Lego projects that have been on my mind.  The MAC II from RoboTech, a cathedral (I need more 1X1 translucent plates for the stained glass windows), and the Andromeda battleship from "Star Blazers."

Man....i guess if you compare it with Nam or Korea, that is an improvment in the odds....
How is the election looking from your end, Andrew? Any locals who gave an opinion?

Things with the election went pretty well, all things considered.   We had the center of operations for the entire area, including disbursing for paying the election workers.  We also obviously had a few bad guys in the bunch, but none did anything overt.
