THE STRANGERS GUNDOWN (1969) - Spaghetti Western starring Anthony Steffen in the lead role as Django. It's the story of Django who was left and thought dead by some greedy type Confederate soldiers. He comes to town as an unknown Stranger to seek revenge. It's an ok film, but nothing great. Django plants crosses before his next victim before killing them. A lot of shooting, but the music isn't as good as some Italian Westerns and Anthony Steffen isn't as good playing Django in this one. Some neat opening credits and opening/closing music were good, but the rest of the film used a rather poor haunting score. The DVD has three very good Spaghetti Western trailers including
ANY GUN CAN PLAY and
A BULLIT FOR SANDOVAL.
